I captured this picture in my back yard. This guy actually let me get right up close and didn't flinch.
how I chill—I take pictures of squirrels . . .
Actually, I do more than that. I write. Writing is my therapy. I also love to meditate, do what yoga I am still capable of, and sing at the top of my lungs in the shower. The good Lord has blessed me with a neighbor who is very nearly deaf. Yay!
I also have other things that relax me, being a pro at it out of necessity.

- I love to sit in a bubbebath by candlelight and put on classical music. I even sometimes sprinkle rose petals in the water for fragrant ecstasy. Or, I might add a little essential oil, lavender being my favorite. But it doesn't end there. When I finish, I stay in the tub while it drains and imagine the water going down the drain is taking every bit of stress with it. I close my eyes and by the time it is empty, I can barely stand, I'm so relaxed! I also love to run to my bed wet and throw myself under the covers and count to ten, waiting for the chills in the summer and the warmth in the winter.
- I meditate. Really meditate. Erase every bad thought. Empty my mind and just be. I have found this so beneficial on an emotional and physical level.
- I do self-hypnosis. More on that later.
- My special signature chamomile-peppermint tea is perfect for picking up my mood!
- A good book or movie completely takes my mind off of my worries.
- Music and dancing. Love, love, love!
